Dear Au Pairs,
I hope you are having a great year. I know that you are very busy with work, studying, doing thinks together with your host family, traveling and meeting new friends. Being an Au Pair means living far away from your family for a long time, -one year or even two.
“Too busy day”, “Too late to call because of the time differences”, “Next time will call”,- please don’t forget to call or email your parents today, say “hi” and ask your parents how they are doing.
Try to understand that your parents are thinking, worrying about you and missing you a lot. And let’s remember how anxious they were about you, raising and investing all their soul and love.
Think for a moment, what would you have without their support. Show your love to your parents as often as you can, find time to call them often- they need your attention. Be thankful and caring, it will show them that you are a mature person.

Keep them informed about your life and some personal issues
Talk to your parents about anything
Let them know how your classes are going
Establish “together” time
Voice and show appreciation often
Be nice and kind to your parents
Ask them about their life
Remember the special holidays
Tell them often that you love them and miss them. Remember, your parents are just a phone call away.
