By Wenjie, an Au Pair from China.
Christmas is a western holiday. For our eastern people, like Chinese, it is not a common holiday, but more and more people start to celebrate Christmas. But we’re still not that nature.
This is my second Christmas in US. So I’ve learned that December 25 is the day which celebrates Jesus Christ’s birth. Many people erect Christmas trees, decorate their homes, visit families or friends and exchange gifts.
We’re all from different counties. We speak different languages. We have different skin colors. But we’re kind. We’re easy going. We’re full of love for kids. We also have the same name “Go Au Pair”. It brings all of us together. We became a family, good sisters and friends. We also have a good mom Polina, our Local Area Representative, who always supports us and gives us love.
Each year when you start hearing Christmas songs on the radio you might know Santa Claus in on the way. Thanks for the most wonderful time of a year.
We enjoyed the dance, lights, gifts, friends gatherings and Christmas dinner, EVERYTHING!!
We wish you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
