Au Pairs cluster traditions.

There are many ways to establish meaningful Au Pairs traditions that become an important part of our cluster’s life.  Some traditions such as welcoming a new Au Pair on facebook, interviewing a new Au Pair, supporting with Au Pairs buddy’s help and other traditions not only help a new Au Pair to adjust quickly, but create a sense of unity and belonging to the cluster as well.Go Au Pair

Another Philadelphia  and NJ cluster tradition is blogging about excellent Au Pairs from the cluster in a way of honoring them for their outstanding work. There are very many Au Pairs from Go Au Pair agency were recognized that Go au Pair was rated #1 agency!Go Au Pair #1

Thank you to all outstanding Au Pairs!

Diana, an Au Pair in Excellence from NJ

There are many outstanding Au Pairs from Go Au Pair agency in Philadelphia, Bucks County and NJFour Au Pairs from China out of five Chinese Au Pairs from our cluster were awarded this year. Au Pair from China

Today I would like to post about the Au Pair from China, Diana Zhu, who was nominated by her Host Family for the IAPA Au Pair of the Year Award in 2014.

Au pair party

Diana Zhu is a second year Au Pair with Go Au Pair. Diana lives in NJ with a wonderful host family with two adorable boys. Diana  has really become part of the family. Diana’s family always told me that they truly love having Diana around. Diana often joined her host family for pizza night, Sunday spaghetti, headed down to the shore on weekends, and attended many her extended host family’s events. Also, Diana has taken many classes at Raritan Valley Community College and improved her English. Au Pair contest 6

She is always first to volunteer or help. She has a beautiful smile and a loving personality. Diana’s photo got the second prize in an Au Pair photo contest this year.

Diana is cheerful, calm, and good with kids.”Her calming personality makes any situation easy to handle, but what is more comforting is we know Diana feels at home with us.”, said Diana’s host mom.

Reading Diana’s host family nomination essay made me tear up. “There is not a day that goes by that we are not thankful for Diana.  She has endured a lot with our family. We have helped her navigate home late in the evening from school, spent time with her on homework, comforted her during Duke’s destruction, and helped her discipline the boys.  And she has kindly spoken about Chinese culture, home and her life and family across the globe.  It seems strange that we would call Diana anything other than family.

IMG_20131117_125431

She has volunteered at the Philadelphia marathon, celebrated a very special twenty-third birthday, shared Christmas and a  happy New Year.  We look forward to future milestones like celebrating the Chinese New Year and a family vacation to Aruba.  Although Diana is our first Au Pair, I can confidently say she is the best.  She has a special soul and a light inside her that shines brightly.  This soft-spoken Au Pair from China that will forever be a part of the Migliaro Family has made a mark so bold that we owe her more than the words on this paper”.

Go Au Pair agency recognized six Au Pairs from our cluster out of 45 Au Pairs from Go Au Pair who went above and beyond their job as Au Pairs. Read a press release Au Pairs in Excellence Nomination- Au Pairs stand out.

Congratulations, Diana and other nominees.

Au Pairs from Bucks County Stand Out.

Recently, two Host Families from Bucks County nominated their outstanding Au Pairs for the IAPA Au Pair of the Year Award in 2014. Au Pairs come from around the world to provide live-in childcare for Host Families in the United States. Many of these young men and women go above-and-beyond in their roles, and make a significant difference in the lives of the children for whom they care.Au Pairs class.

Adriana Zhang, an Au Pair from China, is  a 2014 Au Pair in Excellence Nominee. The Au Pair Adriana lives in Newtown, Bucks County, and she is taking care of four children under the age of six.Au pair Newtown Bucks County

“Adriana has been a tremendous asset to our family. She is hard working and has a wonderful attitude and work ethic. My life has been made more manageable because of her help with the daily routines of my children. …Adriana goes beyond, like fixing my girls in cute hairstyles and teaching them Chinese songs and dance,” said Adriana’s host mom.Chinece Au Pairs
“We’ve been very impressed with how patient and calm Adriana is with our children. We’re so thankful that she truly cares and loves them. It is also apparent that our children adore her. When she is away on weekends or on vacation, her absence is often missed! We are grateful to have Adriana and feel very blessed that she has joined our household. She deserves an Au Pair in Excellence award.” This host family has had 3 Au Pairs with Go Au Pair agency already and is looking forward to hosting a new Au Pair soon.Au Pairs photo contest 3

Adriana is a very active Au Pair. She didn’t miss any Au Pair meetings. Adriana teaches an ESL class in her church. She likes traveling and spending time with her friends. Adriana is the first to volunteer and always offers to help.IMG_20131117_124406

Go Au Pair believes that Adriana and other Au Pairs who are truly excellent and their hard work deserves to be recognized.

Congratulations, Adriana! Being nominated as an Au Pair in Excellence is a big honor.

The Best Au Pair Ever.

The best Au Pair ever – that is how one of the host families from the Philadelphia and NJ cluster who have had seven Au Pairs before,  titled their nomination. “Throughout the past 8 years, I has met many au pairs in this program, so many of whom were wonderful young women.  But I can say, without a doubt, that our Phila stands out as the best of the best,” the host mom wrote.
Go Au Pair agency supported the family opinion and nominated the Au Pair Phila Sozombile  Go Au Pair 2012 Au Pair in Excellence Award.
Several Au Pairs from the Philadelphia NJ cluster were nominated by their host families for Au Pair of the Year Award this year.  I am excited that the Au Pair Phila was recognized as Go Au Pair 2012 Au Pair in Excellence winner. Congratulations, Phila!
Phila’s Host Family wrote an amazing nomination essay that outlined the tremendous impact she has on their family, the hard work and dedication she provides daily and the wonderful connection she has formed with the kids:Au Pair Phila with her host child
“I know that the day that we matched with Phila was probably one of the luckiest things ever to happen to our family because of the light and love she has brought into our home and for the positive influence she has been on the life and character of my daughters.”
Phila_4
I really feel that many Au Pairs from my cluster are the outstanding Au Pairs and deserved the prizes also. They are providing not only a childcare but also are giving the kids their love and friendship, and being a role model for them.
Being a Local Area Representative  for Go Au Pair for almost 4 years, I saw many happy families that continue with this program year after year and have unforgettable experiences. I see many families bond with their Au Pairs – after many years they stay in touch, visit each others and develop long-term friendships through this amazing Au Pair program.
