Welcoming new Au Pair from Mexico Hannya!

Hannya is a new Au Pair from Mexico who joined the Philadelphia, NJ and Bucks  County cluster this week. I would like to welcome Hannya to the cluster, Go Au Pair and the US.  Hannya already made a lot of friends on FB and she is looking forward to meeting them soon. Hannya also made a great connection with her buddy Karla, Au Pair from Ecuador.
Let me introduce Hannya. Hannya is 20 years old and she is from Torreon, Mexico.  She likes kids and spends a lot of time working and teaching the kids and volunteering for  different projects.

Hannya says, ” I consider myself a patient, smiling and outgoing person.  I like to spend my free time with friends or go to the cinema.  When I was in Torreon, one of my favorites hobbies was playing soccer or going to soccer matches.
Last month I was traveling with friends and family through México and we visited a lot of places! I learn fast and If there something that I don’t understand I like to research about that thing.”
Hannya’s dream is ” to visit all possible places.” Good luck with that  – there are many places to visit during your Au Pair year!
We are all looking forward to meeting you, Hannya! Welcome, again!

Vacation in Mexico with my host family!

Hi Everyone, It is Maria, Au Pair from Ukraine, who lives in Bucks County PA with the awesome host family. You may read about my Au Pair year before. One of my favorite thing is, of course, a vacation! Recently my host mom sent me a message on Facebook and said, ” Maria, can I please have your passport info because we are off for a week and going to Mexico!”Au Pair Bucks County PA 2
I was super exiting! I am crazy about traveling and Mexico was always one of the places  I always wanted to visit! So I contacted Go Au Pair agency and sent them the DS 2019 form to stamp for my trip.  The agency sent me the form back very quickly and I was ready to travel.  Who knew that I will spend one week in a real paradise? Even the name of that resort is Paradisus❤️Au Pair Bucks County PA 1Food, beach, sun, shows, people whom you love around! My host family and I were having so much fun! It was a super cool vacation! We were swimming with dolphins, kids had a lot of fun with kids club, we met a lot of nice people! Mexico will always be in my heart! Our family loved Mexican vacation very much!Au Pair Bucks County PA
Of course, we had a lot of funny situations.  For example, I lost my passport in the airport in Mac Donald’s 😂But thanks, God, the Philadelphia’s personal in the airport were very kind and they found me and gave my passport back right next to the plane!
Then, our kids love cabin crew,  so we are always having lovely conversation with the team! Be honest,  if I were a film producer, I would record the movie about our vacation in Mexico! It was very cool, joyful and fun!Au Pair Bucks County PA
Thank you, my dear Alla Gerzon, who is my host mom, who is my best friend, who is my sister, who is an example how to be a Superwomen, Wonder-women and just a Supermom for a such opportunity to explore not only many special places in the States, but also such a lovely country as Mexico!P.S. The Gerzon family is the best!!!

The Au Pair year is like a lucky packet.

I like the post WHY BE AN AU PAIR? that Nita, a former Au Pair from Philadelphia and Bucks County cluster. Nita kindly gave a permission to share it with you.

Nita took care of 8 kids with another S. African Au Pair Ricki. Nita lived in New Hope, Bucks County with a lovely host family.

Nita considered her Au Pair year a lucky packet. Basically, because she got the opportunity meet the wonderful people!

Nita said, “I have met the most amazing people in my life, starting with my first host family. A killer family of 8 children whom I love dearly and my awe-inspiring host parents. Yet so my second, an intriguing family with twin babies. Secondly, the girls who carried me through this journey. Au Pairs from all over the world who i never intend on forgetting. You form relationships with people from culture to culture. Learn to love not by eye, but by heart. Not by similarities in interest, but to build a strong supporting relationship on your differences.”Au Pair volunteering at Bucks County 484

Nita said, “There is so much more to it than just be to your family what they are paying you for. It might feel like you are loved by contract not by heart, but the family taking you into their home chose you to be part of their children’s life. You are there because of who you are, they chose you. They want you. They find someone who is similar to them and who they think will fit right into their everyday life. Your appearance makes a difference. You get to be the highlight of someone’s day, everyday. You form an unbreakable bond with not only the kids, but the parents as well. You end up being really good friends and build a trusting relationship. I really lucked out on two fun families who is very understanding and supportive. You get to be a friend, a companion, a role model, a sister, a kid and most of all, someone they can always turn to in troubled times.Nita called her Au Pair year a like a lucky packet.au pair from S. Africa Tania 2

Nita called her Au Pair year a like a lucky packet also because, “You get so many opportunities with being an Au Pair. You take care of beautiful bright intelligent children, get a pay cheque every other week, get two weeks paid vacation, go to school (paid for), be adventures, travel and meet life long friends from all over the world. Imagine that feeling of having friends in Germany, Australia, Europe, Columbia, etc. You will always have someone everywhere you go. The feeling is pretty great that I can assure you.

Being Au Pairs Bucks County Fundraisngan Au Pair is a way to expand yourself to the world that has so much to offer for young people who is on a war path on finding the wiser life embracing self-hiding somewhere.

Being an Au Pair has changed my life and I will forever be grateful for taking this opportunity and the people who were a part of this journey, as well as my family who made it possible for me to go on this adventure.

Read why Nita considered being an Au Pair and you may want to become an Au Pair as well.

Can an au pair care for a child with special needs?

Au Pairs are allowed to care for special needs children if the Au Pair has specifically identified their prior experience, skills or training in the care of special needs children. Some Au Pairs have previous experience working with special needs kids, early childhood education and pediatric nursing in their countries. Many Au Pairs volunteered at orphanages, hospitals and other places that required a special care experience.

There are usually a few Au Pairs who are working with the families with special needs child/children in the Au Pair cluster in Philadelphia, Bucks County and NJ. Those Au Pairs have previous documented experience caring for special needs children.Xiao

Also, the host family must sign an agreement indicating that they both recognize and accept the Au Pair’s level of experience.

We have  Au Pair Plus program and  Premiere Au Pair program that give more options to the parents who are looking for a very experienced Au Pair. Many of our available Au Pairs have broad experiences and are interested in caring for children with special needs.

What kind of education and experience do the Au Pairs have?

We have a variety of candidates with different types of education and experience at   Go Au Pair.  We also have different Au Pair programs that help families to find a candidate they need.

Many Au pairs  have university degrees. We have Au Pairs who graduated from Medical, Business or Law school or have other degrees, many of them use this program as an opportunity to polish their English skills when they are in the USA.

Many Au Pairs have significant experience in childcare-related fields, including early childhood education, teaching, and pediatric nursing. Some Au Pairs are teachers with a lot of previous experience working with kids.  Go Au Pair has Au Pair Plus program and Premiere Au Pair program that give more option to the parents who are looking for an Au Pair with special experience and education.

Au Pairs program

Many parents value the opportunity of having a global education experience. The Au Pairs are interested in teaching the kids, learning from others and exploring their similarities and differences.

After their stay in the US, Au Pairs will go back to their home country and continue their job relating to child care training, education and experience.  Many Au Pairs decide to extend their experience for another year. Upon their return home, Au Pairs plan to pursue their studies or continue their professional careers.

High English level skills are important for a childcare provider. Many Host Families require a high English score because a regular homework help for the kids is essential. Au Pair teashes

All Au Pairs are screened by Go Au Pair international representatives to insure that they are proficient in spoken English. After a personal interview with a representative, a host family examines Au Pairs language skills on the phone or Skype during an interview.

Au Pairs English skills are rated on a scale from 1 to 5.  Most our available Au Pairs are rated a 4 or 5-out-of-5 in English skills. As a Local Area Representative I notice that many our Au Pairs have a degree in English language or consider learning English as their hobby.

Their English skills become even better by the end of their Au Pair year.  Au Pairs Au Pairs gain invaluable life experience, and also get opportunities learn and practice the English language daily with English speakers.
