Au Pairs classes in the Philadelphia area, Fall 2018

Summer is going fast and it is time for the Au Pairs to fulfill the Au Pair education requirement and register for the classes. Au Pairs should complete six semester hours (12 for educare program), or the equivalent 72 hours (144 for educare program) in class.

Non-credit ESL Program at Montgomery County Community College, is very popular among the Au Pairs. The college offers a few ESL programs for Au Pairs.  Courses include instruction in reading, writing, speaking,listening, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Bucks County Community College has a new program for the Au Pairs this year in Newtown campus. The College offers one credit classes designed specifically for au pairs. There are two different options available: Weekly Class on Friday Evenings (1 credit) aupair fall 2018flyer.pdf

Continuing Education Department of Bucks County Community College offers extensive and affordable classes – Day, Evening, Weekend classes, ESL, and PERSONAL ENRICHMENT classes that include Art & Design, Cooking, ESL, Health and Fitness, History + Special Interest, Language, Music, and Personal Mindfulness. Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 29, 2018
Au Pairs can take Credited Classes at Bucks County Community College for In-County tuition rates as well. Classes begin at Bucks County Community College  
(Newtown) August 22nd.
Harcum College offers English Language Academy – ESL Classes

Au pairs will have the following options for ESL:
One or two ESL classes for 8 weeks ($300/course) or  One ESL class for 15 weeks ($600/course) The 8-week session runs from August 27 – October 19, while the 15-week session will run from August 27 – December 15. Follow this link to redister 

Delaware County Community College offers non-credit courses, during day, evening, and weekend in  a few locations.  College provides beginning, intermediate and advanced level classes in listening, speaking, reading and writing English and also TOEFL Prep Course. Check this link

Princeton University gives Au Pairs a chance to audit Princeton University lectures on a non-credit basis for $175 per course. According to the Department of State requirement, host families have to reimburse tuition costs and costs of related materials  up to $500  and $1000 for EduCare. Au Pairs responsible for all payments for tuition, fees, books and materials that exceed $500 or $1000.

Educational institutions must be accredited by approved accrediting agencies to be acceptable. The Department of Education has a list of approved accrediting agencies on their website.  If you are unsure or have questions, you can contact Go Au Pair corporate office.

Bucks County Community College classes for Au Pairs

Starting Fall semester, Au Pairs can take Credited Classes at Bucks County Community College for In-County tuition rates. Classes begin at Bucks County Community College (Newtown) August 22nd.  ESL testing will be August 20th, from 6:30-8:30pm 

Bucks County Community College is now allowing au pairs to take credited classes for in-county tuition rates.  Au pairs can choose to take classes for credits or hours without being charged as out of county residents.  Au pairs books
