Welcome in our cluster, Anita

Anita Pinzón is from Bogotá, Colombia. She is teacher and our next au pair! Let’s read more about this polite girl, who sent me a nicely built introduction about herself ( I have never seen such a thing like this, I was surprised!)15942257_10154232872853806_215480425_n

She wants to be an Au pair, because she loves children; she likes to spend her time with them. Also, she considers, that it will be an excellent opportunity to learn in a new culture, to communicate with different people and share things about her culture, too.

She likes listening to music, reading,  watching TV, walking in parks, going to the cinema, eating healthy food and travelling.

She is responsible, active, loyal, mature, honest, educated, friendly, and active among other

If she had one wish, she would learn different languages as much as possible.

She would like to visit Statue of Liberty, because she thinks, that it is one of the most important wonder of the world.

She would like to interact with American people, share her experiences with friends, go to concerts or shows and enjoy each moment in which she will be in this beautiful country.

Woow, that was more than satisfying, I guess! Enjoy your year here, Anita! ♥

Christmas party 2016

Cold, foggy weather, snowy trees and roads. Nature is changing…It seems, that this is a winter-rest for them, like nothing happens inside of the trees, but actually everything is more active now…Anyway, I am always wondering about these things. I did the same, while I was driving to the restaurant, where we had our event. 15621737_1160060500779267_2117030716241552817_n

The village was beautiful, like in a fairty tale. It reminded me a bit of my home town…I loved walking around and enjoying everything around me

Polina (our LAR) gave  us her heart again. She organized this whole party with love and attention. I believe, that it is not only me who I am thankful for it. I enjoyed the time with the other au pairs: we played games and eat delicious food. We exchanged presents. I think everybody got something nice and gathered memories to remember.

Our cluster wishes everybody a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! I hope we will have fun next year too! ♥

Meet new cultures, meet new people, meet the new YOU

Two weeks ago, I had my first au pair event. It was a picnic near the Liberty Bell. The weather was perfect for us and so everything.

There were a lot of new au pairs. Miguel came with his Host Family. It was really interesting to meet them there.

We had fun together, ate delicious dishes from different cultures… The two of us: Valentine and me had baked something (I would share the recipe with you, but it is a secret family recipe.) We also had muffins, chicken, etc.

We also played a game to know each other better. I learnt new information so far.

Something important: you have to experience yourself by getting know others better to meet the new you. Hard, but it is worth it!

Our next meeting will be at (the awesome) Polina’s house. We will make sushi and something else, as we have two chefs in the cluster! I am looking forward to meeting these guys again! See you there! ♥

Learning a Foreign Language with an Au Pair

Making a child learn a second language gives that child an educational advantage in the future.

Au Pairs  can  help kids learn a new language in addition to being a childcare provider. They are great language tutors since Au Pairs are with the children on a daily basis. Au Pairs help children learn a second language through study and play which leaves  parents not having to pay for the expensive lessons.

Hiring an Au Pair who speaks the language of the family’s choice is a perfect option. Many bi-lingual families choose to host an Au Pair from a specific country because the Au Pair is able to teach their children the language naturally through every day life.

There are a lot of benefits of learning a foreign language not only for bi-lingual families who have chosen to host an Au Pair.  According  to a cognitive neuroscientist Ellen Bialystok, who has spent almost 40 years learning about bilingualism, every child should  learn a foreign language because it sharpens their mind.

If you need someone right now, Go Au Pair offers the best selection of quality Au Pairs at an affordable cost. A family can choose from transition, extension and overseas Au Pairs.
