Marcela, our new Mexican Au Pair

Finally I’m allowed to welcome a new member to our cluster. Marcela is 23 years old and is an transition au pair from Mexico. She joined our cluster about 4 weeks ago and Lilla kindly offered to be her buddy.

I love outdoors, cooking, exercising, exploring new places and cultures.

Marcela describes herself as communicative, outgoing and passionate.

Besides the US I’d like to visit Australia and New Zealand.

My favorite way spending a Saturday is Getting up early, drinking a good latte and go hiking – then have a good and healthy breakfast, take a nap and hang out with friends.

Since I’m in the US I already experienced to live with a new family in a very different culture and with a different religion – it’s a big adventure.

Marcela I say welcome to our cluster and have a great year!

Sijia, another new Chinese Au Pair

Sijia is 25 years old and arrived about 2 weeks ago in Bucks County, where she replaced the former au pair Hui. Her buddy is Ling and she will help her during the first time as an aupair.

I think the aupair program is a good exchange program. It combines a few aspects such as improving my English, learning about another/western culture and the work with kids.

In my free time, I like to read books, listen to pop music, like Maroon 5, Katy Perry or Bruno Mars., or to watch some movies. But I also like playing badminton.

Optimistic, interesting and easygoing – that’s how Sijia would describe herself.

If I had one wish it would be that my mum can live one hundred years, because I love her very much.

During her year she wants to visit as much places as possible. Los Angeles and New York City are just two of them.

My favorite way to spend a Saturday is listen to music and reading a book or going out with my friends.

I already met Sijia at our last meeting. And she’s a very nice person and I’m sure she will have a great year! Welcome again to our cluster, Sijia! 🙂

Cherry, one of our awesome South-African Au Pairs.

Cherry is in our cluster since January and she takes care of a little baby-boy in center city, Philadelphia. She’s a happy and funny person, always there for others and it makes so much fun to do something  with her.

I was born in Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. I’m very friendly and very optimistic. I’m a huge water and animal lover. I worked in Sunnybank pre-school last year as an assistant Teacher and toured Australia with my family in June/July 2013. I love learning about new languages and cultures. I’d like to study drama, music and Psychology/Criminology.

I want to be an au pair, because I’m young, I love children and the program is great for work and travel in another country and discover more about yourself.

I love all the arts (music, dance and drama), reading, swimming, drawing, sports, and trying new things and I’m interested in Psychology.

Smiley, thoughtful…. fish-in-water – that’s how she describes herself.

Cherry would like to see Boston, NYC (again), Miami,Washington D.C., Montreal and Canada in general, Seattle, Chicago, Las Vegas, New Orleans, LA and California in general – basically she’d like to visit as much places as possible.

In my free time I like to travel, do sports (especially swimming), spend time with my friends, watch series or to read a book.

As an aupair, I expect to have a wonderful experience, full of traveling and new adventures and to have a great relationship with my host family and their beautiful son.
