Thank you for your answers, Lorena, have a safe trip home and share your wonderful au-pair experience!:)

Special thanks and recognition for an au pair Sijia

Time flies, and unfortunately soon we’ll have to say good-bye to an awesome au-pair from China and just a great person – Sijia Zhu. She has been an au-pair for almost 2 years, and it’s time to leave in 3 months. But before going back to a beautiful and  mysterious China, Sijia wants to share some valuable information with us – her experience and impressions of being an au-pair.

‘ My name is Sijia , I’ve been living here almost 2 years. If you ask me do I like my aupair experience? My answer is absolutely yes, when I just came here got to my host family, I was nervous and didn’t know what to do, but now we get on together like family members.

Totally agree here, Sijia and her host child do look like a family!:) They’re so happy and definitely are having fun!

What places I visited that I like the most?  It’s very hard to choose, I think it’s Philly, the first time I saw the profile about my host family that they live near Philly, I was excited, I know Philly is the city with a long history, I like to hang out with my friends at old city area, enjoy the leisure time at harbour park, walk around with my friends in the UPENN, even Philly is not a big city, I still like this city most.

What is the most valuable lesson I learned from being an aupair?  My host family is a single family, before I came here I thought it would be a very hard time to stay with a single family, but actually, it’s totally different, from these 2 years I realized, to be a patient, cheerful person, always keep the positive attitude it’s very important, that will affect your host family, I believe happiness is contagious.

Sijia and her host kid look soooo cute together:)

What is my favorite aupair meeting? I think it’s in March last year the Flower Show, that’s fabulous, there were all different kinds of flowers from the world, that’s so amazing!!!

Would you recommend being an aupair to others?   I’m very happy to recommend this program to others, it’s a very good way to know the real American culture and daily life to be an aupair, not only the ways you know how to get on well with the kids but also you will learn a lot from your host family, it will broaden your views.

Wonderful smiles!

I’m so lucky to be a member of my host family, I love my host kids, I call them naughty babies, both of them are not only clever but also active, before I came here my English was so bad, they helped a lot to improve my English, they always respect me and never force me to do the things I don’t like, they treat me just like family members, they always welcome my friends to come here, my host dad is a selfless considerate person who always help me and my friends, so appreciate he did everything for me, every time when he goes to the grocery store, he buys the food I like, such as the yogurt, cheery and some other things, that makes me touched a lot. If the weather is ok, my favorite thing is walk around with my host kids after dinner. How time flies, I can’t believe I will leave in 3 months, don’t want to say goodbye, I love my host family, I’m looking forward to see them in China!!!

Our new Au Pair Joyce, He Liu, from China

Joyce or He Liu, our new Au pair is 20 years old and from China. Joyce grew up in a city called Yongcheng which means Forever Beautiful city.  She arrived in Philadelphia about one month ago and her buddy is Oksana, Au Pair  from Ukraine.

Joyce (4)

The main reason why Joyce decided to become an au pair is that she truly loves children and she want to experience America culture while making progress on her overall English. She also wants to make friends from all over the world.
In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and friends whether they are in Philly or in NY. She also likes to listen to music, sing songs, watch TV and play tennis.

Joyce (6)

“Tennis is my favorite sport, it makes me relax and exercise my body” – She also loves to travel and see and learn new things.

 joyce (5)

“I think au pair life will be very fascinating in the future. Everything is going to be okay, au pair life is an opportunity. I believe I can be a good au pair.”

Then we enjoyed cosplay girls and guy sang Japanese songs. It’s full of power in their voices. After the singing, we enjoyed a great Cosplay Fashion Show. Au Pair friends

It was my first time seeing a show like this.

Summer Blackhurst, the Go Au Pair blog’s author, in her post Childcare and Cultural Exchange talks about cultural exchange and cultural immersion that broaden kids horizons and teaches about another culture lives.Au Pairs Bucks County, NJ, Philly

Go Au Pair is the #1 Best rated Au Pair Agency for 2013.

This week Au Pair Clearinghouse announced that Go Au Pair is the #1 Best rated Au Pair Agency for 2013 year again.

A consumer information website for Host Families, AuPairClearingHouse com, rates, reviews and compares au pair agencies in the United States by conducting host family satisfaction surveys and ratings. A recent survey conducted by the Au Pair Clearinghouse showed  Go Au Pair came out on top this year as the best Au Pair agency!

Go Au Pair #1Go Au Pair having above average ratings in many areas. The agency has many happy host families,  please read many reviews on citysearch.com

“I would recommend this service, and specifically Go Au Pair to anyone, and would share with you that based on my detailed research, the Go Au Pair program is approximately 1/3 the cost of nanny’s and/or daycare. Further, the real benefits of having someone live in your house, and be involved in what I would call the “small times or spaces” is invaluable. This has allowed me to maintain the best possible relationship with my young children, while they receive advanced training from young people who often have learned more than I have about childhood development methods.

Not to mention the benefits of cross-cultural education which is invaluable.”

Go Au Pair  provides exceptional customer service.  Go Au Pair team has a passion for their work, the team goes the ‘extra mile’ to prevent many issues.  Go Au Pair likes to have a feedback and listen about customer needs.

Go Au Pair provides support to Host Families from the time of the initial inquiry consistently throughout the year. Go Au Pair team wants to be sure that clients get a timely and informed response to their needs, and has the solid relationship with host families and Au Pairs.

Go Au Pair’s Au Pairs have been named  “Best in the World” by IAPA (International Au Pair Association). We have many happy Au Pairs. Recently Go Au Pair starts an inclusive Go Au Pair program to connect and support Au Pairs – Go Au Pair Sis.

A Chinese Au Pair – a new and a popular host families’ choice

There are many Chinese Au Pairs  in Go Au Pair Philadelphia and NJ cluster and another Au Pair from China just joined us yesterday .   Hosting a  Chinese Au Pair is relatively new option for host families. According to Wikipedia,  in March 2007, Hongbin Yu of Harbin (north of Beijing) was the first Chinese au pair to arrive in the United States.[1]Ying won a photo contest

Several year ago I met my first Chinese Au Pair – Ying.  She helped a single mom to raise three adopted girls. Ying quickly became a real member of the family. When her host mother ended up in the hospital she was the one who took care of the kids. No doubt, that her host mom nominated her for  the Au Pair of the year award.Au Pair Ying and kids

Her mom said,” Ying has a calm manner that sets a good example for the girls…..  She is a wonderful role model for my girls, and I hope that at least some of her initiative rubs off on them! We are indeed fortunate to have such a wonderful young woman with us!”

Last year Ying received Go Au Pair’s exclusive  Au Pair in Excellence Award.aupair excellence

Au Pairs from China are quickly becoming some of our most popular Au Pairs. They are known to be dependable and hard working Au Pairs, who are able to make a smooth transition to life in the United States.

china

In honor of Go Au Pair featured country, families who match with an Au Pair from China in April Go Au Pair agency offered a $100 off the program fees.
