Au Pair’s trip to Washington DC

Ophelia’s Diary.

I took the Washington DC Educational Trip class  for the Au Pairs which included three classes and a tour. The final project for the class was designing your own Monument and then we had the tour to Washington DC with Cultural Hi-Ways. I just came back from a two days trip to Washington DC and look forward to sharing about the trip.

There are so many great things to seen DC, two days just too short for us. All my Au Pair friends love DC so much, we don’t want to come back at all.

On Saturday afternoon, we visited the World War ⅡMemorial, the Vietnam Wall, Lincoln Memorial, Korean Memorial.

Au Pair’s Educational Trip Class to Washington DC

Ophelia’s Diary.

Last year, I took English class at International House of Philadelphia. As my English gets better, I decided to take a harder and more interesting class for this semester— Educational trip to Washington DC!

There are 17 Au Pairs in my class, 4 Au Pairs are from Go Au Pair. I am glad I get this chance to know Au Pairs from other countries, like Italy and Thailand. I never have friends from these two counties before.Au Pairs class.

Totally we will have three big classes before we go to DC. So far, we already had two classes. When we had the first class, it was kind of hard for me. We learnt a lot about American history that day.

The teacher just gave us so much information, it’s hard for me to catch all of them. But I still like it a lot. Before the second class started, I learned hard by myself at home. We had a test for the first class, I did the best in my class.

The second class was about American law and politics. I like this class a lot. Also, this time I felt it’s super easy for me. Now I even begin to think about  going to law school, it should be very interesting. I am looking forward to having the third class now. I had so much fun during the class. I did learnt a lot. This is really a very nice program for Au Pairs. Thank my Local Area Representative Polina recommended this program for me, also thank my host family paid this class for me.

An Amazing Trip to Alaska with My Host Family.

Ophelia’s Diary.

Hello in a new 2o14 year! Happy new 2014! I hope you miss reading my diary. Here is a new story about an amazing trip from Philadelphia to Alaska with my Host Family.

au pair 2014 a1My host family is originally from Alaska. As their Au Pair, before Christmas I had a chance to travel to Alaska with them. This trip was so amazing. I am really a lucky Au Pair who has a very lovely host family.au pair 2014 a4

If you don’t go to Alaska, you can never imagine how beautiful the scenery there. Snow mountains are on the water. Everything is unusual clear. The clouds are so fluffy, feels like you were walking in the mist forest.

Skiing in Alaska is definitely one of my favorite things. This was my first time to ski.

I went there with host father and host grandfather. They were very good teachers. I had so much fun skiing with them.On our way back home, we saw a baby moose!

I am so glad I had my first Christmas in a world of ice and snow.
