Au Pairs Meeting at The Devon Horse Show.

Last Au Pairs meeting was at The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, which started in 1894.

I am sorry I did not hear about it until one host mom, Virginia M, told me of  this show and  donated the tickets. I believe that our meeting at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair was one of the most exciting meetings we ever had. I hope we will come back in the future because we all enjoyed the show very much. Thank you, Virginia

There were a lot of  attractions for kids, food courts, souvenir shops, live music and much more at the Country Fair.  We walked around, shopped, ate, listened to music and then watched  the Horse Show. It was Junior Jumper Gamblers’ Choice and demonstration by young performer, Lizzy Traband.

Born without a left forearm, 13-year-old Lizzy Traband is a great performer. Lizzy has performed at the World Equestrian Games as well as at a number of expositions.

We had a great time at The Devon Horse Show. We were very glad to see each other, sharing our news and plans for the future, telling stories, laughing, enjoying every moment and making one photo after another.
It was a special atmosphere at the show- excitement, inspiration and joy- something in the air. 🙂 I observed that almost everyone had wine and felt excited and euphoric. But even without wine, we were energized by the opportunity of being together and our friendship.

One of the purposes of the Au Pair Program is cultural exchange. Au Pairs made a lot of friends during their Au Pair time in the country. Several Aupairs from Go Au Pair cluster in the Philadelphia and NJ area are going to leave very soon. Judy is moving to CA to spend her next Au Pair year there, Irina and Ying are finishing their US Au Pair program and going home to Germany and China.

Last hugs, last wishes and last words of inspirations. It was hard to say good-bye, ……….but we will be in touch and friends forever.
